1. MyKeyReturn Terms & Conditions

  1. 1.1

    Keys’ are the Keys owned by the Donor which have a registered a unique MKT ‘Keytag’ securely attached, this also includes any electronic alarms, data memory sticks and any other devices or ornaments attached to the Donor’s Keys.

  2. 1.2

    Keytag’ means a unique serialised device attached to the Donor’s personal keys, which is used to operate the key return Service.

  3. 1.3

    MyKeyReturn may keep, collect, use and disclose personal Donor information – Please Note; none of the Donor's personal data will be disclosed to another party apart from the chosen charity and we apply fully to the Data Protection Act 1998.

  4. 1.4

    'Registered' means after a Donor has provided all necessary information to MyKeyReturn, which will then be forwarded to the specific charity for them to authorise the Donor to receive the secure key return service, and will therefore be eligible to receive a serialised Keytag to attach to their Keys

 

2. MyKeyReturn Service

  1. 2.1

    The purpose of the service operated by MyKeyReturn is to provide a secure key return management Service.

  2. 2.2

    After a Donor is Registered by paying a donation to their charity of choice, the Donor will receive a free serialised Keytag to attach to their Keys.

  3. 2.3

    MyKeyReturn will not be liable for being unable to return Keys to their owner if the Keytags are damaged or lost and therefore unable to be used to determine the owner.

  4. 2.4

    If the Donor loses or misplaces the Keys and such Keys are later found, then the person who finds the Keys is able to place the Keys, un-packaged and with the Keytag still attached, into any UK Royal Mail post box.

  5. 2.5

    Upon receiving the Keys via Royal Mail post, MyKeyReturn will refer to the unique serialised Keytag attached to the Keys and use the secure database to determine the return address for the Keys provided upon registration by the Donor and updated from time to time by the Donor. Then MyKeyReturn will package the Keys and the serialised Keytag in the same condition that the Keys are returned to MyKeyReturn and re-direct the Keys via Royal Mail recorded delivery to the current registered address listed in the secure database provided by the Donor and updated from time to time by the Donor.

  6. 2.6

    MyKeyReturn cannot guarantee all Keys will be recovered and returned to the owner of the Keys.

  7. 2.7

    MyKeyReturn has no control over the delivery of the Keys after they have been received by MyKeyReturn and sent via Royal Mail post to the Donor. MyKeyReturn therefore accepts no responsibility for any direct or indirect loss, damage or delay suffered by the Donor arising out of or in connection with, but not limited to, the delayed delivery or non-delivery of the Keys.

  8. 2.8

    MyKeyReturn will endeavour to deliver Keys as soon as practicable after the Donor’s Keys have been returned to MyKeyReturnMyKeyReturn service:
    (a) Once registered, the Donor will have their keys returned twice over an annual period - Free of Charge.
